The 1990s marked the beginning of our relationship of trust with Jean-François Fayel, winegrower at Le Château des Sources and owner of the Domaine des Cantarelles in the village of Bellegarde in the AOC Costières de Nîmes growing area.
Therefore it was a natural choice for the Espinas family, owners of Le Château des Sources since the late 19th century, to hand over the reins to Thomas Giubbi, Managing Director of the Compagnie Rhodanienne, to continue the work of Jean-François Fayel when he retired recently.
An winemaker has been assigned to supervise the 26 hectares of existing vines at Le Château des Sources and the 23 hectares at the Domaine des Cantarelles. He will also oversee the planting of a further 20 hectares of new vines. Last but not least, renovation work is planned for the Château, including a new ageing cellar, to give the estate a new lease of life.
