Thomas GIUBBI, Managing Director of Vignobles & Compagnies talks about his values and the future of winegrowers after this difficult period of health crisis.
“After these two years marked by the COVID health crisis and global warming, it seemed essential to us to reaffirm our common values around 3 fundamental pillars:
– Solidarity both internally with our employees, particularly during this health crisis, and with our partner wineries and estates. We support them vintage after vintage so that they can pass on their farms in the best possible conditions to future generations.
– The responsible commitment that has guided our actions for many years with our employees, customers and suppliers. This year we have undertaken a CSR certification process (ISO 26000) in order to better structure and collectively support this fundamental commitment. Sustainable development is at the heart of our strategies and our raison d’être!
– Our ‘challenger’ spirit combines ambition, dynamism, agility, perseverance and a spirit of innovation that drives us on a daily basis in this fast-changing world.
Finally, I would like to pay a heartfelt tribute to all our partners and all my colleagues who have been present throughout this crisis. They have coped admirably with the anguish of the first few weeks, the confinements and successive waves, and they continue to work within a strict sanitary protocol to share our love of wine with you. It is to them that we owe the continuity of our winery, our ability to constantly renew ourselves, to take up new challenges, to transmit our know-how, our vision and our values.
Danton used to say: “Boldness, more boldness, always boldness”.
We have the audacity to believe that together we can build a better world.
I wish you a very happy holiday season.
